Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using TikX ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the service.

These Terms apply to all users of the Platform, including event organizers, attendees, and visitors. Please read these Terms carefully before using our services.

Use of the Platform

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use TikX. By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that you are of legal age to form a binding contract.

Account Registration

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain and update your information to keep it accurate
  • Maintain the security of your password and account
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
Payment Terms

Ticket Purchases

  • All ticket prices are displayed in Nigerian Naira (₦)
  • Payment must be completed at the time of purchase
  • We use secure third-party payment processors (Paystack) for all transactions
  • All sales are final unless otherwise stated by the event organizer
  • Refunds are subject to the event organizer's refund policy

Service Fees

TikX charges a service fee of 5% commission plus ₦100 flat fee per transaction. This fee is included in the ticket price displayed to attendees. Event organizers receive the ticket price minus our service fee.

Payouts

Event organizers can request payouts to their registered bank accounts. Payouts are processed within 3-5 business days after the event date, subject to verification and our payout terms.

Event Organizer Responsibilities

As an event organizer, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete event information
  • Deliver the event as described and advertised
  • Honor all tickets sold through the Platform
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Obtain necessary permits, licenses, and insurance
  • Handle attendee inquiries and support requests
  • Establish and communicate clear refund policies
  • Not use the Platform for illegal or fraudulent activities
Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

  • Use the Platform for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
  • Post false, misleading, or fraudulent event information
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Platform or servers
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Platform
  • Use automated systems to access the Platform without permission
  • Resell tickets in violation of applicable laws or event policies
  • Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users
Intellectual Property

The Platform and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by TikX and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of content you create and upload to the Platform. By uploading content, you grant TikX a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content in connection with operating and promoting the Platform.

Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

Platform Availability: We strive to provide reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted, secure, or error-free operation of the Platform.

Event Information: We are not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or quality of event information provided by organizers. We do not endorse or guarantee any events listed on the Platform.

Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, TikX shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly.

Refund and Cancellation Policy

Refund policies are determined by individual event organizers. TikX facilitates refunds according to the organizer's policy. If an event is cancelled by the organizer, attendees are entitled to a full refund unless otherwise stated.

Service fees are non-refundable except in cases of Platform error or event cancellation by the organizer.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Platform immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using account deletion features in your settings.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Platform after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
